Testing… Is this thing on?
Greetings, this is just a test of my first official blog entry. Please visit back, as I hope to be publishing with frequency! In the meantime, look up Mark 8:36, and ask yourself what it means… let me know your thoughts.

What good is it if you have made your home very comfortably on earth – whether in terms of possessions or self-justification or ignored sin or accomplishments, only to arrive at the next world without preparation, forethought or admission ticket? That person loses everything s/he had scrambled for years to keep and everything s/he had never given a thought to. The deepest, most painful, least hopeful place ever.

hey mike! the site looks great!
mark 8:36 in one sentence, “don’t waste your life!”
do everything for the glory of god. your marriage, parenting, career, recreation and ministry need to be done for one purpose…to bring glory to him. many of the before mentioned roles can easily be done to bring glory to ourselves. the verses before and after this one in mark are about being a disciple of christ and that means using whatever role god has put us in to “make disciples” of those around us.
It’s so easy for me to lose sight of this.
